By Microbus - Shared Taxi

Travel time: About 2 hours

Cost: 30 EGP 

You can take a service taxi to Al-Fayoum or to the village of Tunis (be sure to specify this).

The service taxis wait near the Mounib Metro Station.

They are located about 200 meters from the station, under the bridge.

Service taxis operate on a "fill up and go" basis. Patience is required.

Day trip

For a shorter visit, you can also take a day trip to Al-Fayoum from Cairo, which typically includes transportation to the main sites in the area and return to Cairo the same day. You can arrange this through local agencies or your hotel.
